Playgrounds, parks, fields etc.






Marne Avenue- So many baseball and touch football games here!


Brooklawn Country Club - Sledding, tackle football, ice skating, even hockey





Lincoln School yard - Ringelevio?, kickball, softball in school - stickball, huk-a buck while school was out.




Putnam Park - may picnics, cookouts  and outings - even a combined birthday party with Deb!




Owen Fish Park - Stratfield Road - Every summer Ages 9- 15 - Minor league Little league 9-12- Softball 13-15 - we played against the other parks in town. I mostly played first base. Also weekly trips to Jennings Beach until a kid from another playground drowned. And year-end trips to Lake Quassapaug!

Later - tennis instructor one summer - still later - Queue picnics!
I spent a lot of time playing in these woods when there wasn't any activity on the field.


Skating here in the winter, also at Brooklawn Country Club pond.


Now an Orthodox synagogue!






Collingwood Avenue yard - Touch football, sledding on the hill, so much yard work!

 I spent every summer ages 9-15 at Owen Fish Park - trips to Jennings Beach every week until a kid from, another park drowned, also great end of the summer trips to Lake Quassapaug. Played minor Little League baseball 9-12 , then softball 12-15, all against other parks in town.

I was a playground leader at Tunxis Hill 1964 



 Holland Hill school playground - Playground leader summer of '65 - "Hang on Sloopy" playing over and over again - with Margie Duffy








Audubon Center Fairfield - Many Saturday walks  with kids (Mom's days off) - further  and further as Rick got older - a great walker long distances at an early age.
