My original goals in life, coming out of law school were a career in politics and making a fortune in real estate - both were pretty abject failures; This was by most successful investment (i.e I didn't' lose that much):

 hi, loved the pictures. Can’t believe his car. Pa used to talk to me about his history when I would visit him at the car wash but the only car I remember was his old Cadillac. Just for the record, my father bought the car wash for Pa to run because he wanted to work and was going to buy a liquor store. Dad built the car wash with 3 of his friends and made up a story that he had to buy his partners out of the car wash and needed Pa to be the cashier as they had Juan to make a manager and run the employees. Much safer as liquor stores were open late at night and often robbed! Also the houses on north Ave belonged to my dad. Bubbie and Pa had a yellow house next door on the corner of Iranistan and North. From there they moved to St Pete. We lived in the front house from the time I was 4 until Inwood road was built 1950. Florence lived in the back house then moved to Stonleigh Road. My dad sold the big house but kept the back house and rented it out. When they came back from StPete they had an apartment by seaside park but Bubbie wanted the little house. Pa was already sick so my dad had a bathroom put in downstairs. After Bubbie died my dad sold the house to David.

Pa also told me about owning a bank and loosing it during the crash but no one else in the family that I spoke with ever knew anything about it.

J. Schine Rosenbaum and CO. wholesale food purveyers - we used to get huge salamis from Natie there. The J. Schine Rosenbaum sign remained there for decades after it closed.

Marks' Residence - Stoneleigh Square

Little hill on the way from Churchill Road to Marks' residence - Dad used to encourage us to help push the car up this hill.

Weddings

Playgrounds, parks, fields etc.

Marne Avenue- So many baseball and touch football games here!

Brooklawn Country Club - Sledding, tackle football, ice skating, even hockey

Lincoln School yard - Ringelevio?, kickball, softball in school - stickball, huk-a buck while school was out.

Putnam Park - may picnics, cookouts  and outings - even a combined birthday party with Deb!

Owen Fish Park - Stratfield Road - Every summer Ages 9- 15 - Minor league Little league 9-12- Softball 13-15 - we played against the other parks in town. I mostly played first base. Also weekly trips to Jennings Beach until a kid from another playground drowned. And year-end trips to Lake Quassapaug!

Later - tennis instructor one summer - still later - Queue picnics!

I spent a lot of time playing in these woods when there wasn't any activity on the field.

Skating here in the winter, also at Brooklawn Country Club pond.

Now an Orthodox synagogue!

Collingwood Avenue yard - Touch football, sledding on the hill, so much yard work!

 I spent every summer ages 9-15 at Owen Fish Park - trips to Jennings Beach every week until a kid from, another park drowned, also great end of the summer trips to Lake Quassapaug. Played minor Little League baseball 9-12 , then softball 12-15, all against other parks in town.

I was a playground leader at Tunxis Hill 1964 

 Holland Hill school playground - Playground leader summer of '65 - "Hang on Sloopy" playing over and over again - with Margie Duffy

Audubon Center Fairfield - Many Saturday walks  with kids (Mom's days off) - further  and further as Rick got older - a great walker long distances at an early age.
